Bonjour tout le monde!
This week was a little bit difficult work wise, but it ended on a great note: skyping with the fam! It was so fun to see everyone!
Last pday, we had a family home evening with the Tate family in our ward (who are American) and Carine, who was just baptized about a week ago. We went over to a public park and had a picnic and a little spiritual thought. It’s so fun to see how much Carine has progressed since the Elders first brought her to church and now!
I officially have to renew my French legality. This is a sign of old age in the mission. I received my packet in the mail and I will have to travel out to the prefecture in Mont de Marsan to get it done. So, Soeur Cherry and I will be taking a short road trip here in a few weeks!
On Saturday, we had a fun activity with all the missionaries and their amis! We all got together at the church and played basketball. Our friend Nelson came, who is the 18-year-old brother of a young adult in our ward. He had a really great time and we hope to be able to teach him soon!
On Sunday, all the missionaries in our ward sang in sacrament meeting and made cookies for the whole ward. We were really trying to spark the members and make them love us. It worked! The Bishop invited us over for dinner as well as a young Tahitian girl who has recently started coming back to church! We are so excited to form a better relationship with the members in our ward!
That’s pretty much all I have to tell about. We went to Arcachon (the place with the giant sand dune) again today and it was really fun! I will try to attach some pictures next week when my new camera cord gets here! (Thanks mom!)
We are looking forward to a fun week, so get excited for next week’s email!
